Fenghuang Ancient Town

Fenghuang (Phoenix) is a masterpiece of Fine Arts & Design in the form of a city. Set along the banks of the Tuo River, its wooden Diaojiaolou houses reflect in the water, creating a scene from a classic ink painting. Famous as the home of writer Shen Congwen, the town breathes nostalgia.
