Bayinbuluke Grassland

Bayinbuluke, meaning “abundant spring water” in Mongolian, is a serene world of sprawling wetlands surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The highlight is the Kaidu River, which meanders through the plains in what is known as the “Nine Curves and Eighteen Bends.” At sunset, the river creates a surreal optical illusion where nine suns appear to reflect in its loops. It is also the most important breeding ground for wild swans in China.
