Mount Emei

Rising abruptly from the edge of the Sichuan Basin, Mount Emei is a sanctuary of profound peace and dramatic natural beauty. Known as the “Greatest Mountain under Heaven,” it has been a pilgrimage site for nearly 2,000 years. The mountain is a vertical garden, home to over 3,000 species of plants and the famous, mischievous Tibetan macaques. As you ascend through the clouds via winding forest paths or high-speed cable cars, you traverse a landscape of ancient monasteries, cascading waterfalls, and sheer cliffs, culminating in the breathtaking Golden Summit. It is a place where the air is thick with the scent of incense and the echoes of Buddhist chants, offering a transcendent escape into the heart of Chinese spiritual heritage.

One of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China—a majestic peak of "misty sea and golden summits" where ancient spirituality meets a lush, high-altitude wilderness.
