Altay Prefecture

Altay is China’s northernmost frontier, sharing borders with Kazakhstan, Russia, and Mongolia. It is a land of vertical beauty, dominated by the Altai Mountains. Here, the landscape transitions from the rugged granite canyons of Koktokay to the mist-shrouded fairytales of Kanas and Hemu.
